Measure your hose and make sure the desired length 2. Tape the hose at measured length 3. Cut hose through the tape you have stuck place (this keep braided nylon from fraying) 4. Remove the tape 5. Slide one end of hose into the end of adapter 6. Insert the other half of adapter into the hose, and then push and screw the adapters together 7. Make sure the connection is tight
